Louisiana state university

Founded IN 1947

The Gamma Zeta Chapter of Delta Gamma began in 1947 with the pledging of 6 LSU women.

Through the efforts of local alumnae, Gamma Zeta became the 75th chapter of Delta Gamma when the chapter was formally installed on March 20, 1948. The efforts put forth by these women were tremendous. They set the foundation for Delta Gamma to take its current position as one of the largest and most highly respected sororities on the LSU campus.

Since Gamma Zeta’s colonization in 1947, our chapter has grown to one of the 5 largest Delta Gamma Chapters in the country, and the 2015 New Member class is the largest in our chapter's history. Delta Gammas at LSU have continued to strive for excellence in all that we do. We were proud to once again win the 2020 Outstanding Sisterhood Award at the LSU Order of Omega Ceremony. Our members hold officer positions in Panhellenic, campus and community-wide organizations such as: Student Government, Ambassadors, Panhellenic Council, Greek Board of Directors, Young Life, and honor societies to name a few.
