Letter from the President

Hi!

Welcome to Delta Gamma Gamma Zeta’s website! My name is Isabella Been, and I am honored to serve as Delta Gamma’s 2026 Chapter President! I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but have spent much of my life visiting close family in Lafayette, Louisiana. I have always called myself a Louisiana girl at heart and have known I would attend LSU since a very young age. I have so much love for this state and its culture, and I knew I always belonged here! Along with leading our wonderful chapter, I am a Mass Communications major with a focus in Public Relations with a minor in Textiles, Apparel, and Merchandising. During my time at LSU, I have also worked for Tiger TV as a sports reporter and am a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Post-graduation, my dream is to work in fashion public relations in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Although I always knew I wanted to go to LSU, moving four hours away from home and not knowing anyone was still very scary for me. Back in Houston, I attended an all-girls high school, and I knew I wanted to carry that sense of sisterhood into college. Recruitment seemed like the perfect way to find my home away from home. Not only did I find that in Delta Gamma, but I found so much more than I ever could have imagined. When I walked out of the doors of DG on day one, I was overwhelmed with a rush of emotion. I remember immediately writing down how I felt in my journal and, of course, calling my mom to tell her I had found my people. From day one, the women of Delta Gamma have stood out to me as some of the most kind-hearted, genuine, and supportive people I have ever met. I am so lucky to call them my sisters. These women have absolutely changed my life. Every day, they have pushed me to become the woman I have always wanted to be. They are my biggest cheerleaders, my shoulders to cry on, and my forever home. There is such a special sense of peace that I feel at Delta Gamma.

Our beautiful home is located on the LSU Lakes and was recently renovated this past year. Our new and improved home has been the perfect place for our members. I have even gotten to live in this year and make many memories with my sisters, and am so excited to again this upcoming year!  Our home is filled with women who come together in their love of Doing Good, Delta Gamma’s motto. As a community, we are dedicated to giving back to LSU, the Baton Rouge area, and each other. I am infinitely blessed and honored to lead this amazing group of women. Each and every one of our members’ passions and ambitions has inspired me to be the best version of myself. Delta Gamma has provided me and so many others with countless opportunities to form lifelong memories through service, sisterhood, and every moment in between. I am always proud to be a Delta Gamma and am forever grateful to these people and this place. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the amazing women of Gamma Zeta. Geaux DG and Geaux Tigers!
