I chose Delta Gamma because of the authentic and genuine sisterhood I could feel as soon as I stepped into the house 2 years ago. I chose DG because during recruitment it was evident how much love and respect filled the room. Every conversation I had was meaningful, with an intent to truly learn and listen. Every time I walked through the doors, I felt at home. I never felt like I had to changed who I was, but encouraged to be my true self. Looking around at the women in DG, I knew this was the place where I would be inspired to reach my full potential, find lifelong sisters, and make some of my best memories.

Best piece of advice for a PM going through recruitment?

During recruitment, take every conversation one at a time and slow down! It is so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of emotions this week brings. Remember that this is for you. Go where you feel loved and seen, and look for how the women around you can support and uplift you to be the best version of yourself.

If you could pick one word to describe your Delta Gamma sisters, what would it be and why?

Excited- In DG, every woman around you is genuinely excited- excited to encourage and celebrate your accomplishments, excited to see you at the house, passing on campus. or around town. No matter where you are or what you are doing, a sister is always there, excited to see you, talk with you, and support you with so much love.

VP: Social Standards

Going through recruitment, my goal was to find a home, not based on a house, but on the people inside it. From the very beginning, Delta Gamma felt genuine. Every conversation was natural and meaningful, and it was clear the women truly cared about one another and the values they shared. DG stood out to me as a place where I could grow as a leader, feel supported in every season of life, and be surrounded by women who uplift one another while also holding each other accountable.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?

To me, where you live doesn’t matter as long as you’re with the people you love; because home isn’t a place, it’s your people. I also love traveling and i hope to see as much of the world as I can that way, making memories wherever life takes me.

What is your dream job?

Best piece of advice for a PM going through recruitment?

Be yourself and trust your feelings. Recruitment can be overwhelming, but the chapter where you most comfortable, heard, and confident being yourself is where you truly belong. Go into the week with an open mind, and trust that you will find the place that feels like home.

If you could pick one word to describe your Delta Gamma sisters, what would it be and why?

Supportive- No matter what season of life you’re in, DG women are always there to lift each other up/ Whether it is celebrating successes, offering encouragement during challenges, or simply being a constant source of kindness and understanding, my sisters show up in the most genuine and meaningful ways.

I chose Delta Gamma because the moment I walked through those doors, I instantly felt at home. From the very beginning, I fell in love with everything DG had to offer- the energy, the values. and most importantly, the people. During rush, I met my best friend, and now sister, and talking with her made everything click. She helped me realize that this was a place where I could truly be myself and grow into the person I wanted to become. Now, three years later, I did on that first day. Beinga part of DG has helped me grow in more ways than I ever expected, and it has shaped me both personally and socially. The sisterhood, support, and memories I have gained mean more to me than I can put into words. I will always cherish my time here, and I truly don’t think I would be who I am today without DG.

Best piece of advice for a PM going through recruitment?

I would tell them that everything happens for a reason, and I truly beleieve that. Going through rush can feel overwhelming, and some decisions or outcomes might mot make sense in the moment. But I promise that once you find the place where you truly belong-whether that’s in a soroity or somewhere else- you will just know. You will feel comfortable, complete, and at peace. Looking back, there were times when I didn’t understand why I was dropped by certain houses or why I didn’t feel comfortable in others. Now, I can see that those moments happened for a reason because they ultimately led me to the place I now call home. The most important thing is to stay true to yourself and not let other people influence or pressure your decisions. Trusts your instincts and your journey- everything works out the way it is supposed to.

If you could pick one word to describe your Delta Gamma sisters, what would it be?

Genuine- That word came up so many times throughout rush because it perfectly described the kind of friendships I was hoping to find. Now, looking back 3 years later, I can confidently say I made the right choice. Through DG, I have met my very best friends, and every one of them embodies that same genuineness I was searching for.

Best piece of advice for a PM going through recruitment?

My advice for a PNM would be to stay confident in who you are throughout the process and never feel pressured to change yourself to fit a certain mold. Go into each conversation trusting yourself and being genuine, because the right chapter will appreciate you exactly as you are. Pay attention to where you feel most comfortable, because that usually says more than anything else.

If you could pick one word to describe your Delta Gamma sisters, what would it be and why?

Compassionate- They truly care about each other and are always willing to listen, help, and support one another. Their kindness is real and heartfelt, creating a chapter where girls feel seen and valued.  It’s this compassion that makes being part of DG so meaningful.

Best piece of advice for a PM going through recruitment?

My best piece of advice is to find the people the that know you better than you know yourself. Listen to the girls talking and describing what makes their sisterhoods and chapters unique. You will hear things that truly resonate with you, follow that! You all bring something incredibly special to the recruitment process so choose a house that highlights your individuality and will help you grow in the aspects of life that are most important to you! Think with your mind and follow your heart!

If you could pick one word to describe your Delta Gamma sisters, what would it be and why?

Letter from the President

Hi!

Welcome to Delta Gamma Gamma Zeta’s website! My name is Isabella Been, and I am honored to serve as Delta Gamma’s 2026 Chapter President! I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but have spent much of my life visiting close family in Lafayette, Louisiana. I have always called myself a Louisiana girl at heart and have known I would attend LSU since a very young age. I have so much love for this state and its culture, and I knew I always belonged here! Along with leading our wonderful chapter, I am a Mass Communications major with a focus in Public Relations with a minor in Textiles, Apparel, and Merchandising. During my time at LSU, I have also worked for Tiger TV as a sports reporter and am a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America. Post-graduation, my dream is to work in fashion public relations in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Although I always knew I wanted to go to LSU, moving four hours away from home and not knowing anyone was still very scary for me. Back in Houston, I attended an all-girls high school, and I knew I wanted to carry that sense of sisterhood into college. Recruitment seemed like the perfect way to find my home away from home. Not only did I find that in Delta Gamma, but I found so much more than I ever could have imagined. When I walked out of the doors of DG on day one, I was overwhelmed with a rush of emotion. I remember immediately writing down how I felt in my journal and, of course, calling my mom to tell her I had found my people. From day one, the women of Delta Gamma have stood out to me as some of the most kind-hearted, genuine, and supportive people I have ever met. I am so lucky to call them my sisters. These women have absolutely changed my life. Every day, they have pushed me to become the woman I have always wanted to be. They are my biggest cheerleaders, my shoulders to cry on, and my forever home. There is such a special sense of peace that I feel at Delta Gamma.

Our beautiful home is located on the LSU Lakes and was recently renovated this past year. Our new and improved home has been the perfect place for our members. I have even gotten to live in this year and make many memories with my sisters, and am so excited to again this upcoming year!  Our home is filled with women who come together in their love of Doing Good, Delta Gamma’s motto. As a community, we are dedicated to giving back to LSU, the Baton Rouge area, and each other. I am infinitely blessed and honored to lead this amazing group of women. Each and every one of our members’ passions and ambitions has inspired me to be the best version of myself. Delta Gamma has provided me and so many others with countless opportunities to form lifelong memories through service, sisterhood, and every moment in between. I am always proud to be a Delta Gamma and am forever grateful to these people and this place. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the amazing women of Gamma Zeta. Geaux DG and Geaux Tigers!
